Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, but he who heeds counsel is wise. – Prov 12:15

When you make tough decisions, do other people help? Are you willing to let your guard down and invite other people into your life? When other people tell you you aren’t making sense, are you willing to listen?

Bad decisions get made alone. Any time I’ve made a mistake in my life, it’s been because I didn’t ask other people what they thought of my idea. I didn’t invite other people to comment on my choices! Inviting wise counsel into your decision-making process can be humbling! It may mean admitting you haven’t fully thought things through. It may mean acknowledging you’re wrong. But the healthiest way to make decisions is with other people.

Ask God for wise counsel. Invite the people He sends into your life! Then, listen to what they have to say.

Where there is no counsel, the people fall; but in the multitude of counselors there is safety. – Prov 11:14

Prayer:

Father, surround me with people who can help me make good decisions. Thank You for good friends, in Jesus’ name!
