Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
“You shall not see your brother’s ox or his sheep going astray, and hide yourself from them; you shall certainly bring them back to your brother.” – Deut 22:1
Your mother probably always told you to mind your business. But what if your mother was wrong?
If you see something wrong, it is actually your Scriptural duty to do what you can to correct it! Scripture tells us not to “hide ourselves” when it is within our power to help. We are not supposed to just mind our business, ignoring the hardships of others as long as it doesn’t affect us. We are exhorted to go out of our way and do what we can to proactively bless our brothers and sisters.
Don’t just mind your business; be a blessing!
Prayer:
Father, position me to be a blessing to others. I want to proactively bless other people, just as You have proactively blessed me. Thank You for Your blessing, in Jesus’ name!
