Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
Jesus answered and said to them, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.” – Lk 5:31-32
Are you spending time with sinners? Are you leading the lost to Jesus? Winning the lost and making disciples is an unavoidable part of our mission on earth:
And Jesus came and spoke to [His disciples], saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen. – Matt 28:18-20
You can’t win the lost if you don’t talk to sinners. You can’t make disciples if the only people you hang out with are from church!
We must reach the lost. If we don’t, who will?
Prayer:
Father, make me bold as a lion. I want to reach the lost at any cost. I am unwilling to compromise my faith in You; but equally unwilling to sit on my hands in a pew. Send me out, in Jesus’ name!
