CityLight Pastor Commentary:
“And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn” (Lk 2:7). Jesus Christ was sent to reconcile all of mankind to God. All means all. Jesus came into the world in the humblest of settings; He will reach into the humblest of settings to retrieve the lost. No matter where you are, Jesus’ death and resurrection mean new life for you. His light can outshine the darkest of places, and life in Him can conquer the coldest grave.
Prayer:
“Father, I know that Jesus Christ was sent to rescue ME! I don’t deserve it and I never will, but I am the recipient of the honor and glory He earned. Thank You Father!”
