Commentary from Pastor Michael White:

And the tabernacle of meeting shall move out with the camp of the Levites in the middle of the camps; as they camp, so they shall move out, everyone in his place, by their standards. – Num 2:17

God instructed Moses to position the tabernacle of meeting – God’s presence – in the middle of the camp. Whether the Israelites were resting, or whether they were moving, they were instructed to keep God at the center of everything they did!

Is God at the center of your life? Typically, we go through seasons where we feel like God is at the center of our lives. Then, we go through seasons where we feel like He isn’t. Oftentimes, we wonder how we can keep Him at the center of our lives, and make everything we do revolve around Him.

All it takes is one decision. “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you” (Jas 4:8). The good news is that He is always available! Whenever you feel far from God, make the decision to draw near to Him. Insist on His presence before you take another step. Take a minute, stop, and pray; and as you draw near to Him, He will make Himself known!

Prayer:

Father, I want to keep You at the center of my life! Help me to block out all distractions, and focus my attention on You. I know that as I draw near to You, You draw near to me!
