Commentary from Pastor Mike White:

For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them. – Mk 11:23-24

Jesus invites His disciples to develop faith that can move mountains. This morning, He is extending the same invitation to us!

The requirements are as follows:

1) Speak to your mountain,

2) Do not doubt,

3) Believe that what you pray will come to pass, and

4) Receive the fruit of your labor in prayer!

When pray with faith, and have complete confidence in the efficacy of our prayers, we will have whatever we pray! Of course, what we ask for in prayer must always line up with God’s will (see 1 Jn 5:14-15). When we pray God’s will out over our lives, it is His pleasure to satisfy our requests!

Ask, believe, and receive. God knows the things we need before we ask for them (Matt 6:31-33). However, we still need to ask for them in faith. You were created to move mountains through prayer. What better time to start than now?

Father, thank You that my prayers are powerful. I know I can move mountains with my faithful prayers. I will never back down from any looming difficulty, or run from any impending struggle. You put me here to effectively pray against anything that runs contrary to Your plans!
