Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
“You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men.” – Matt 5:13
You are the salt of the earth! And what does salt do? Salt adds flavor. You bring a unique message – the Gospel of Jesus Christ – that the world needs to hear. You add flavor!
Salt also preserves. If we don’t continue to pray in faith for the world we live in, it will spoil! We are prayer warriors who declare the world of God over a fallen world, preventing it from falling further into decay!
God put you here to change the world with the Message you carry. He put you here to preserve the world from falling even further into evil with your prayers! If you don’t stay salty, who will?
Prayer:
Father, thank You for making me salty. Keep me motivated to share the Gospel. Keep me motivated to pray: for my country, my city, and my family! I pray You would keep me salty, in Jesus’ name!
