Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
All who are gifted artisans among you shall come and make all that the Lord has commanded… – Ex 35:10
Everyone has a unique talent to supply for the Kingdom. That has two implications:
1) You have something to offer. There is something God wants to do that can only be done through you. You are significant. You are important! You are essential to God’s work.
2) Your offering is unique. What you have to offer will be different from what your neighbor has to offer. You are different; and it is good that you are different! All the craftsmen had to work together to construct God’s design for the tabernacle; and all of God’s people still have to work together to build what He wants to see on Earth! Don’t waste one second wishing your gift looked like someone else’s. There is work to be done! There is no time to waste wishing you were different.
Prayer:
Father, thank You for making me unique! Thank You for filling me with Your Holy Spirit so I can go out and do Your work. I know You put me on this Earth to do something no one else can do; and I thank You for that, in Jesus’ name!
