Commentary from Pastor Michael White:

So he cut two tablets of stone like the first ones. Then Moses rose early in the morning and went up Mount Sinai, as the Lord had commanded him; and he took in his hand the two tablets of stone. – Ex 34:4

Moses had to bring the tablets; and God would do the writing. This is my favorite way to pray: when you go into prayer, bring a blank sheet of paper. Take your time, and let God speak to you. Allow His Holy Spirit to fill up the blank page with supernatural words of wisdom. When you are faithful to record what God has spoken, He will speak to you all the more!

Don’t forget to bring your blank slate into prayer. If you don’t bring it; God can’t fill it!

Prayer:

Father, thank You for filling me up with supernatural wisdom in prayer! Make me faithful to come into prayer expectant and ready to hear from You. I know my level of expectation determines the volume and content of what I hear in prayer.
