Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. – Hosea 4:6
Lack of knowledge kills. If you don’t know God’s word, the enemy will walk all over you. Yes, Satan is the “prince of the powers of the air” (Eph 2:2). HOWEVER, God has given you authority over him!
…that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth… – Phil 2:10
…but I want you to be wise in what is good, and simple concerning evil. And the God of peace will crush Satan under your feet shortly. – Rom 16:19-20
Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. – Lk 10:19
Know your rights! Satan has no authority over you because you are hidden in Jesus! So tell him to stand down, in Jesus’ name.
Prayer:
Father, thank You for giving me heavenly citizenship and the benefits that come with it! Help me to know my rights, in Jesus’ name!
