Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God… – 1 John 5:1
Adoption processes can be lengthy. Children often wait for years in an orphanage before they are adopted. Or, a child might be moved through a series of foster homes before (s)he finally settles in a permanent home – if it ever happens at all.
But heavenly adoption is not so. When you believe, you become a child of God in an instant! You are born of Him, just as Jesus was born of Him; and that means God loves you the same way He loves Jesus!
Heavenly adoption happens in a moment. When you believe, you are His!
Prayer:
Father, thank You for Your endless love! I am so floored by the way You love me. I could never deserve Your love; but You pour it out on me all the same!
