Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
…as Moses was divinely instructed when he was about to make the tabernacle. For [God] said, “See that you make all things according to the pattern shown you on the mountain.” – Heb 8:5
You need time alone with God. There are resources God wants to get you that only come in His presence. There are plans God wants to give you that only come in His presence!
If Moses hadn’t gone up into the mountain to spend time in God’s presence (see Ex 24:9-18), he would have never received God’s blueprint for everything he had to do! He would have had no idea how to build the tabernacle. He would have had no clue how to host God’s presence. The people of Israel would have been lost, because their leader was lost!
Great men and women of God make time for His presence. Will you?
Prayer:
Father, make space in my day for time alone with You! I need Your presence more than the air I breathe. Help me to plan my day accordingly!
