Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may run swiftly and be glorified, just as it is with you… – 2 Thess 3:1
Paul was a powerful man! He was an anointed apostle, who traveled the world healing the sick and preaching the Gospel. But he wasn’t afraid to ask for prayer.
This is a key to the Apostle Paul’s powerful ministry: he asked others to pray for him! It is arrogance to think you can do what God has called you to do, without relying on the prayers of others. God gave you good friends so they can pray for you. He gave you family so they can pray for you. He gave you brothers and sisters in your church so they can pray for you!
Do you have anointed men and women of God praying for you?
Prayer:
Father, thank You for the prayer warriors in my life. Surround me with men and women who love to pray for me, and encourage me to do the same for them, in Jesus’ name!
