Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
Now we exhort you, brethren, warn those who are unruly, comfort the fainthearted, uphold the weak, be patient with all. – 1 Thess 5:14
Believers must have a multifaceted arsenal to respond to crisis. We must be ready to warn those who need a warning, comfort those in discomfort, uphold those who cannot hold themselves up, and be patient with those who test our patience. How can we be expected to do all that?
We need help. We must rely on the Holy Spirit to give us exactly what the person in front of us needs, at all times. There is no ministry formula! There is no cookie-cutter approach to God’s glory. We simply lean on the Holy Spirit every step of the way, and He will take us where we need to go.
Prayer:
Father, thank You for working through me. Even when I am paralyzed with fear, You move by faith.
