Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
“And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men…” (Col 3:23). When you work, do it for God. When you exercise, do it for God. When you have conversations in and outside your home, remember that you are having them for God. For some people in your life, you may be the only representation of Jesus Christ they see. So whatever you do, do it heartily and in service to God! Jesus Christ ascended to heaven to take His seat at the right hand of the Father. And we are his representatives, with our mission on earth but our citizenship in heaven, and with heavenly resources at our disposal. Whatever you do, do it for Jesus: with all your heart and all your soul. He’s worth it!
Prayer:
Father, help me to serve You in everything I do! Help me to remember that I am Your hands and feet on this earth. I’m Your representative, and I only have a set amount of time. So whatever I do, help me to do it well!
