Commentary from Pastor Michael White:

…that their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, …to the knowledge of the mystery of God, both of the Father and of Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. – Col 2:2-3

Do you want to be wise? Do you want to have knowledge? All wisdom and knowledge are hidden in Jesus. If you want them, you have to know Him! Wisdom and knowledge don’t come from reading books and having intellectual conversations; they come from knowing Jesus. Jesus is truth. Jesus is revelation!

God doesn’t hide things from you; He hides things for you. Scripture says God will, “…give you the treasures of darkness and hidden riches of secret places” (Is 45:3). Ask Him the toughest questions you can think of, and He will have the answers!

Father, thank You for making me wise. Thank you for making me smart! I know wisdom and knowledge are fruits of a relationship with Jesus, and I thank you for them, in Jesus’ name!
