Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
Therefore, from now on, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him thus no longer. – 2 Cor 5:16
The Apostle Paul refused to judge anyone around him by their past. As people who believe in Jesus, “We regard no one according to the flesh.” Don’t judge the people around you by the decisions they have made (whether good or bad), or the success they have achieved (whether present or absent)! Judge them by their position as a son or daughter in Christ. Love them like God loves them!
You are not your past. You are a new creation. God doesn’t judge you according to what you’ve done! He loves you because you are His. It’s time to move forward. Are you ready for your new future in Christ?
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. – 2 Cor 5:17
Prayer:
Father, thank You for not judging me for my past. I’m far from perfect; but Jesus is perfect, and I am perfect in Him! Help me to live out my life with confidence that You love me, because I am Yours!
