Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
Now I beg you, brethren, through the Lord Jesus Christ, and through the love of the Spirit, that you strive together with me in prayers to God for me, that I may be delivered from those in Judea who do not believe, and that my service for Jerusalem may be acceptable to the saints… – Rom 15:30-31
Paul was not afraid to ask other Christians to pray! He let them know his prayer needs – up front and in advance – and he directly asked them to “strive” in prayer on his behalf. In other words, he asked them to pray HARD!
Prayer matters. Gather people in your life who love you, and ask them to strive in prayer for you. It will make all the difference in the world!
Prayer:
Father, I know prayer makes a difference! Surround me with people who love to pray, and give me the boldness to ask for prayer, in Jesus’ name!
