Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
For You have armed me with strength for the battle; you have subdued under me those who rose up against me. – Ps 18:39
God doesn’t promise you won’t face battles in life. Receiving Jesus does not mean you will never have a bad day. However, God does promise to give you strength for the battle; and He promises that by the end of the battle, all those who rise up against you will fall. The battles will come; but God has already given you the victory in Jesus Christ!
You don’t have to fight for victory. You get to fight from victory. Rest in the finished work of the Cross, knowing that your victory is secure.
Prayer:
Father, thank You for the victory in Jesus! I know You arm me with strength for every battle. All my enemies will fall in Jesus’ name.
