CityLight Pastor Commentary:
“He who finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor from The Lord” (Prov 18:22). Ain’t that the truth?! My wife is absolutely amazing. We just welcomed our first child into the world, and I was blown away by how calm, collected and strong my wife stayed throughout the entire delivery. I know she is a gift from God! Even if you don’t have a spouse, everything in your life is from God. Whenever we come across something good in our lives, it is favor from God. We often have the unfortunate tendency to take credit for the good things in our lives, but blame all the bad stuff on God. The opposite is really true! Satan, our adversary, wants to bring evil upon us; but Jesus Christ, our Savior, invites us to share in the eternal favor only He deserves! Won’t you accept His invitation?
Prayer:
Father, thank You for showering me in favor. I know that everything in my life is the result of your love for me. You love me as Your own because I am your child! Thank you!
