Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
“But you shall surround the king on all sides, every man with his weapons in his hand; and whoever comes within range, let him be put to death. You are to be with the king as he goes out and as he comes in.” – 2 Kings 11:8
Joash was only seven when he became king! He was too young to defend himself; so God surrounded him with warriors who would defend him. He was too inexperienced to know right from wrong, so God surrounded him with wise counselors.
Do you feel too young – or too inexperienced – to do what God has called you to do? Ask Him for help! How easy is it for God to surround you with ministering angels to protect you whenever you are vulnerable? How easy is it for God to give you supernatural wisdom and wise counsel so His will is abundantly clear?
There is no such thing as being unprepared with God. He has everything you need; and all you need to do is ask!
Prayer:
Father, I need your help! I am just a little child. I have times when I don’t know what to do, or how to get Your work done! Help me! Surround me with protection, and fill me with wisdom, in Jesus’ name.
