Commentary from Pastor Mike White:

There has not failed one word of all His good promise, which He promised through His servant Moses. – 1 Kings 8:56

God proves Who He Is through action. He made specific promises to Moses, and delivered on each and every single one.

The people of Israel had a hard time trusting God at first, because they had yet to experience His faithfulness. The testimony to His faithfulness was still being established as the Israelites walked through the wilderness and into the Promised Land.

But we should know better. We have the advantage of divine perspective. Through Scripture, we see His faithfulness in full. We don’t have to wonder if God is faithful as we walk out His instructions. We have a better vantage point. We have witnessed the fulfillment of all things. Jesus Christ came to die for our sins, and redeemed every man and woman who calls on His name to God!

You don’t have to wonder if God is faithful. As people who live on this side of the Cross, we should know He is faithful.

Not a word failed of any good thing which the Lord had spoken to the house of Israel. All came to pass. – Josh 21:45

Prayer:

Father, You are faithful! Help me to hold on to every promise You have spoken over my life, knowing that all will come to pass. I believe that at the end of my life, I will have the same testimony as Joshua and Solomon: not a single one of Your words will fail!
