CityLight Pastor Commentary:
“And there are also many other things that Jesus did, which if they were written one by one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that would be written” (Jn 21:25). Authors sometimes save their most influential words for last. The finale, or conclusion, is often the proverbial “cherry on top”: the final message which the author wants to emphasize. John’s message was this: there is so much more to Jesus Christ than could ever be recorded. The world, he says, could not contain all the volumes required to adequately tell the story of God’s Love, and all the miracles He performed during His earthly ministry. No matter how many times Jesus has comforted you and come through for you, there is always more! God is eternal, and His love is infinite; and that is something worth celebrating!

Father, thank You for giving me just a taste of the infinite love of Your Son Jesus Christ! I know there is so much to Him that I will never know or truly experience until I meet Him face to face, and I cannot WAIT!
