Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
Remember me, O Lord, with the favor You have toward Your people. Oh, visit me with Your salvation… – Ps 106:4
When God “remembers” you, He remembers you as one of His own. That means you have favor! Favor means you don’t get what you deserve; you receive what God gives to His children. When God “visits” you, He does so “with His salvation.” That means He carries – and delivers – exactly what you need, in your hour of need.
God doesn’t look upon you with frustration; He looks upon you with favor! He doesn’t see you through the lens of your sin; but rather through the veil of His salvation. It doesn’t matter how bad you’ve slipped or fallen short: God has made provision for your imperfections in the person of Jesus Christ. And when you believe in Him, you are forgiven. You are healed. You are saved!
Prayer:
Father, thank You for counting me as a son (daughter). Thank You for covering me with favor, and visiting me with salvation! Thank You for saving me, in Jesus’ name!
