Commentary from Pastor Michael White:
But her brother and her mother said, “Let the young woman stay with us a few days, at least ten; after that she may go.” And he said to them, “Do not hinder me, since the Lord has prospered my way; send me away so that I may go to my master.” – Gen. 24:55-56
Abraham’s servant had a job to do. He was on a mission to find a bride for Isaac. He struck gold and found Rebekah: the perfect bride for his master’s son! But when it was time for the servant to return to Abraham and Isaac, Rebekah’s family tried to slow him down.
What has God asked you to do? What is the mission He has given you on this Earth? Abraham’s servant would not be detained. “Do not hinder me,” he replied. He was unstoppable. And your response should be the same!
God has given you important work to do. Make a decision to be unstoppable: undeterred in your destiny. Make the choice not to let anyone distract you or detain you from the call of God on your life!
Prayer:
Father, make me unstoppable. You have given me lots to do! And I don’t want to let anyone slow me down. Thank You for a healthy and holy pace, in Jesus’ name.
